The Technical Entry Scheme (TES) is a permanent commission entry for 10+2 pass candidates with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). Through TES, candidates are selected for technical officer training at premier Indian Army training academies and later commissioned as Lieutenants.


🧾 Eligibility Criteria for TES 55 Entry 2025


Before applying, make sure you meet the TES 55 eligibility criteria:


1. Nationality

  • Must be an Indian citizen.


2. Age Limit

  • Minimum: 16½ years

  • Maximum: 19½ years

  • Candidate must not be born before 1 July 2006 and not after 1 July 2009 (tentatively).


3. Educational Qualification

  • Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

  • Must have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in PCM.

  • Must have appeared in JEE (Main) 2025.


🧭 Selection Process for TES 55 Entry 2025


The selection process is multi-stage and focuses on identifying potential officers with technical and leadership qualities.


Step 1: Shortlisting

  • Candidates are shortlisted based on JEE (Main) score and PCM percentage.

  • Only shortlisted candidates receive SSB Interview calls.


Step 2: SSB Interview

  • Conducted in two stages over five days at SSB centres like Allahabad, Bhopal, Bangalore, and Kapurthala.

    • Stage I: Screening test (includes OIR and PPDT).

    • Stage II: Psychological tests, group tasks, and personal interview.


Step 3: Medical Examination

  • Candidates recommended by SSB undergo a detailed medical exam to ensure fitness for service.


Step 4: Final Merit List

  • Based on SSB performance and medical status, a final merit list is prepared.

  • Selected candidates receive joining letters for training.

📍 Training Academy:

  • Cadets Training Wing, College of Military Engineering (CME), Pune

  • Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow

  • Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), Secunderabad


📆 Duration:


  • 5 years total training

    • 1 year: Basic Military Training at OTA Gaya

    • 4 years: Technical Training at CME/MCTE/MCEME
